How To Make Dal Pakwaan

Ingredients For Making Dal:
- 2 Cups Yellow Chana Dal
- 1/2 Cup Yellow Spilt Dal (Moong Dal)
- 2 Finely Chopped Onion
- 1 Finely Chopped Green Chilly
- Salt To Taste
- One Pinch Red Chilly Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Tamarind Jaggery Chutney Or Tamarind Water (Both Can Be Used In Dal)
Ingredients For Pakwaan:
- 2 Cups Maida Flour
- 1/2 Cup Semolina (Suji)
- 1/2 Tsp Ajwaine
- Salt To Taste
- 2 Tsp Oil
- 2 Cups Oil For Frying
- Water (As Much As Required To Make Smooth Dough)
Ingredients For Making Tamarind Jaggery Chutney:
- 1/2 Cup Tamarind
- 200 Gm Jaggery
- Salt To Taste
- 1/2 Tsp Black Salt
- 1/2 Tsp Red Chilly Powder
- 1/4 Tsp Roasted Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 Tsp Fennel
Method For Making Dal:
1. First Of All, Soak 2 Cups Yellow Chana Dal,1/2 Cup Yellow Spilt Dal (Moong Dal) In Normal Water For 1 Hour. After 1 Hour, Wash The Soaked Dal In Normal Water For 3 To 4 Times In Normal Water, After Washing Take A Pressure Cooker Add Soaked And Washed Dal, Salt To Taste, 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder, 1/2 Cup Water, After Adding All The Ingredients Close The Pressure Cooker Lid And Cook It Till 2 Whistle. After 2 Whistle, Open The Pressure Cooker Lid And Mash The Dal With The Help Of Masher.
2.After Mashing Dal Cook It Till 2 Boils, After 2 Boils Close The Gas Flame After Closing Gas Flame And Dal Is Ready To Eat With Pakwaan. Garnish Dal With Red Chilly Powder, Finely Chopped Onions, And Tamarind Jaggery Chutney Or Tamarind Water.
Note: Dal Should Be Thick So Not To Add Much Water In Dal.
Method For Making Pakwaan:
1. Take A Bowl Add 2 Cups Maida Flour, 1/2 Cup Semolina (Suji), 1/2 Tsp Ajwain, Salt To Taste, 2 Tsp Oil, Water (As Much As Required To Make Smooth Dough), After Adding All The Above Ingredients Mix It Properly And Making A Dough. After Making Dough Rest The Dough For 1/2 Hour. After 1/2 Hour, Make Small Balls Of That Dough And Make Round Shape Pawaan’s.
2. After Making Pawaan Take A Pan And Add 2 Cups Oil And Heat It Once Oil Gets Hot, Fry The Maded Pakwaan Till Both Sides Become Golden Color. After Both Sides Become Golden Color Take Out The Pakwaan In The Tissue Paper To Remove Excess Oil. After Removing Excess Pakwaan Is Ready To Eat With Dal.
Method For Making Tamarind Jaggery Chutney:
1. First Of All, Take 1/2 Cup Tamarind And Wash It Properly With Water. After Washing Tamarind Drain All The Water After Draining Water, Once Again Drain The Tamarind Water, After Draining Take A Pan Add Drained Tamarind Water , 200 Jaggery, Salt To Taste, 1/2, Tsp Black Salt, 1/2 Tsp Red Chilly Powder, 1/4 Tsp Roasted Cumin Seeds, 1/2 Tsp Fennel, After Adding All
The Above Ingredients Cook It Till Jaggery Properly Melts And Chutney Starts Boiling And Cook It Till 2 To 3 Boils. After 2 To 3 Boils Close The Gas Flame And Tamarind Jaggery Chutney Is Ready. Now, Garnish Dal With Tamarind Jaggery Chutney.
