Khatta Bhaat



How To Make Khatta Bhaat


Serving 2 People


Preparation Time 30 To 40 Minutes




Ingredients :

- 1 Cup Rice

- 2 Cup Water

- 1/2 Tsp Oil

- Salt To Taste

- 1/2 Tsp Grinded Mustard Seeds

- 1 Cup Milk

- 1 Tsp Curd

- 2 Cup Churned Curd ( Lassi )

- 1 Pinch Dry Ginger ( Saunth )

Garnish :

- Red Chilly Powder

- Fresh Coriander Leaves

Method :

1. First Of All, Take A Bowl Add 1 Cup Rice After Adding Rice Wash The Rice 2 To 3 Times In Normal Water, After Washing Rice Add 2 Cup Water In The Rice And Soak The Rice For 1 Hour After 1 Hour Take A Pan Add 1/2 Tsp Oil And Heat It. Once Oil Gets Hot Add 1 Cup Rice With 2 Cup Water. After Adding Water In The Rice Add Salt To Taste. After Adding All The Above Ingredients In The Rice Mix All The Ingredients Well, After Mixing Cook The Rice For 5 Minutes.

2.After 5 Minutes Rice Started Boiling Once Rice Stops Boiling Close The Pan Lid , After Closing Pan Lid Slow Down The Gas Flame And Cook The Rice For 5 Minutes. After 5 Minutes, Open The Pan Lid And Check The Rice That Whether Rice Cooked Properly Or Not And If Rice Does not Cooked Properly Cook The Rice For More 5 Minutes In Low Flame Of Gas. After 5 Minutes, Close The Gas Flame, After Offing Cool Down The Cooked Rice.

3. Once Rice Cool Down Properly Add 1 Cup Milk, 1 Tsp Curd In The Rice After Adding Milk And Curd Leave The Rice For 3 To 4 Hours. After 3 To 4 Hours Add 2 Cup Churned Curd ( Lassi ), 1/2 Tsp Grinded Mustard Seeds. After Adding All The Above Ingredients In The Rice Mix All The Ingredients Well After Mixing Again Leave The Rice Along With Added Ingredients For 1 Hours. After 1 Hour, Keep The Khatta Bhaat In The Refrigerator For Cooling, After 1 Hour Khatta Bhaat Is Ready To Serve Or Garnish.

Garnish :
- Garnish Khatta Bhaat With Red Chilly Powder, Fresh Coriander Leaves.

Khatta Bhaat Is Tasty, Delicious And Yummy Recipe To Eat. In This Recipe You Can Use Both Recently Cooked Rice Or Night Cooked Rice. It Cannot Change Any Tasty If You Use Night Cooked Rice Instead Of Recently Cooked. All The Ingredients Which Are Used To Make This Recipe Are Easily Available At Home And Can Easily Made It Home With Least Amount Of Time.
