Healthy Gujarati Daal Dhokli

How To Make Healthy Gujarati Daal Dhokli


Serving 3 People

Cooking Time 30 Minutes



Ingredients :


For Dhokli

- 1 Cup Wheat Flour

- Salt To Taste

- 1/2 Tsp Red Chilly Powder

- 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder

- 1/4 Tsp Ajwaine (Celery)

- 2 Tsp Oil

- Water For Make Dough

For Daal

- 1/4 Cup Urad Daal ( Black Gram)

- 1/4 Cup Masoor Daal (Lentil)

- 1/4 Cup Moong Daal ( Yellow Lentil)

- 1/4 Cup Tuvar Daal ( Red Gram)

- 1/4 Cup Chana Daal (Yellow Split Peas)

- Salt To Taste

- 1/4 Turmeric Powder

- 1 Tsp Red Chilly Powder

- 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds

- 2 Tsp Oil

For Tampering

- 2 Finley Chopped Onion

- 2 Finley Chopped Tomatoes

- 2 Finley Chopped Green Chilly

- 1/2 Tsp Garam Masala

- 1/2 Tsp Coriander Powder

- 1 Tsp Oil

Garnish :

- Fresh Coriander Leaves

- Lemon Slice

- Finley Chopped Onion

Method :

For Making  Dhokli

1. Take A Bowl Add 2 Cup Wheat Flour, Salt To Taste, 1/2 Tsp Red Chilly Powder, 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder, 1/4 Tsp Ajwain (Celery), 2 Tsp Oil And Water As Much As Required. Mix It Well And Make A Dough.After Making  Dough Make Small Size Dhokli.

For Making Daal :

1. Soak 1/4 Cup Urad Daal, 1/4 Cup Masoor Daal, 1/4 Cup Moong Daal, 1/4 Cup Tuvar Daal, 1/4 Cup  Chana Daal In Water For 1 To 2 Hours After 1 To 2 Hours Take A Pressure Cooker And Add 2 Tsp Oil And Heat It.Once Oil Gets Hot Add 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seed, And Soaked 1/4 Cup Urad Daal,  1/4 Cup Masoor Daal, 1/4 Cup Moong Daal, 1/4 Cup Toor Daal,  1/4 Cup Chana Daal.

2. After Adding All The Above Ingredients Add 2 Cup Water, Salt To Taste, 1/4 Turmeric Powder, 1 Tsp Red Chilly Powder And Dhokli Cook This Daal Till 2 Whistle.

For Making Tampering:

1. Take A Pan Add 1 Tsp Oil And Heat It.Once Oil Gets Hot Add 2 Finley Chopped Onion Cook This Onion Till Golden Color. After Mixture Become Golden Color , Add 2 Finley Chopped Tomatoes, 2 Finley Chopped Green Chilly, 1/2 Tsp Garam Masala, 1/2 Tsp Coriander Powder.

2. After Adding All The Above Ingredients Cook It For 10 Minute In Low Flame Of Gas. After 10 Minute Off The Gas Flame And Pour This Tadka In To Daal . After Pouring Tadka In The Dal Mix It Well. After Mixing Properly Daal Dhokli Is Ready To Serve.

Garnish :

- Garnish Daal Dhokli With Fresh Coriander Leaves, Lemon Slice, Finley Chopped Onion .
