Sambar Vada



How To Make Sambar Vada

Ingredients For Making Sambar Vada

Ingredients For Sambar Vada :

- 3 Cup Toor Daal (Pigeon Pea)

Ingredients For Tampering Sambar:

- 2 Finely Chopped Onion

- 6 To 7 Garlic Pieces

- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds

- 10 To 12 Curry Leaves

- 2 Dry Red Chilly

- 2 tsp Sambar Masala

- Salt To Taste

- 2 tsp Red Chilly Powder

- 1 Pinch Turmeric Powder

- 1/2 Cup Tamarind Water (Imli Water)

- 2 Tsp Oil

Ingredients For Making Vada:

- 1 Cup Urad Daal(Lentil)

- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

- 1 Pinch Hing (Asafoetida)

- 1 Cup Water

- 2 Cup Oil

Garnishing :

- Fresh Coriander Leaves

Method For Making Sambar Vada:

1. Take A Bowl Add 1 Cup Urad Daal (Lentil), In A Bowl After Adding Urad Daal In Bowl Add 1 Cup Water In The Urad Daal After Adding Water Soak It  For 1 Hour. After 1 Hour Take A Mixi Jar Add Soaked Urad Daal (Lentil) And Blend It .After Blending Make A Thick Paste After Making A Thick Paste, Take A Bowl Add Blended Urad Daal(Lentil) Paste, Salt To Taste, 1/2 tsp Black Pepper, 1 Pinch Heeng (Asafoetida).

2. After Adding All The Above Ingredients Inside The Bowl Properly Beat Or Mix The Mixture Well, After Beating The Mixture Properly ,  Make A Small Size Balls After Making Small Balls, Take A Pan And Add 2 Cup Oil And Heat It Once Oil Gets Hot Fry Small Size Balls(Vada) In The Pan Properly From Both The Sides Till Both Sides Become Light Golden Color.

3. After Frying Vada Take Out The Vada In The Tissue Paper So That Excess Oil Should Get Easily Removed. Once Oil Gets Removed Vada Is Ready For Sambar.

Method For Making Sambar :

1. First Of All, Take A Bowl And Soak 3 Cup Toor Daal (Pigeon Pea) In To 5 Cup Water For 2 Hours. After 2 Hours Pour The 3 Cup Toor Daal (Pigeon Pea) In To The Pressure Cooker And Cook The 3 Cup Toor Daal Till 2 Whistle. After 2 Whistle Open Pressure Cooker Lid And Mix It Well.

2. After Mixing Toor Daal Add 1/2 Cup Tamarind Water (Imli Water), 3 Cup Water And Salt To Taste. After Adding All The Above Ingredients Cook The Daal In To 2 To 3 Boil. After 2 To 3  Boil Off The Gas Flame. Now Samber Is Ready for Tampering (Tadka).

Method For Making Sambar Tampering (Tadka) :

1. Take A Pan And Add 2 tsp Oil And Heat It. Once Oil Gets Hot Add Mustard Seeds And Cook It For 1/2 Minutes. After 1/2 Minutes Then Add 2 Finely Chopped Onion, 6 To 7 Garlic Pieces Cook This Mixture Till Golden Color.

2. When Mixture Become Golden Color Then Add Dry Red Chilly, 10 To 12 Curry Leaves, 2 tsp Sambar Masala, Salt To Taste, 2 tsp Red Chilly Powder, 1 Pinch Turmeric Powder. And  Mix It Well. After Mixing All The Ingredients Cook The Mixture For 1 Minute.After 1 Minute Add This Mixture In To Boiled Sambar After Adding Mix It Well. Now Sambar Is Ready To Serve With Vada.

Garnishing:
After Making Both Vada And Sambar Take A Bowl Add 2 To 3 Vada After Adding Vada Add Required Amount Of Sambar After Adding Both Garnish The Recipe With Fresh Coriander Leaves.



Recipe Note:
Sambar Vada Recipe Is Rajasthani Special Recipe. All The Ingredients Which Are Used To Make Sambar Vada Is Easily Available At Home And Can Make It With Least Amount Of Time. You Can Use The Vada In Making Of Dhai Bhalle Also. You Can Also Eat The Sambar With Rice Or Idli.
